Planning & Zoning

With the end-goals of promoting public health, safety, and welfare, the Planning and Zoning Division provides professional advice and technical expertise on development related topics. 

Specifically, the Division offers assistance on zoning, platting, land use planning, and tree preservation, and maintains and updates the Town's comprehensive plan.

Planning & Zoning Commission

The Planning and Zoning Commission consists of 7 members. They meet to review rezoning applications, subdivision plats, site plans, re-plats, and development plans. The Committee is a recommending body only and advises Council on city planning issues.

Meetings

Zoning Board of Adjustment

The Zoning Board of Adjustment meets as needed to hear requests for variances and special exceptions to the requirements of the Zoning Ordinance, and decides on appeals when it is alleged there is an error in any order, requirement, decision, or determination made by an administrative official in the enforcement of the Zoning Ordinance.
