TXDOT Public MeetingUS377

Where:

Gene Pike Middle School Cafeteria
2200 Texan Drive
Justin, TX 76247  (Map)

When:

Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2019
6 p.m. - 8 p.m.

Purpose:

The purpose of the meeting is to present the planned improvements and solicit public comments on the proposed improvements to SH 114 From I-35W to US 377, in Denton County, Texas. The meeting will be an open house format with no formal presentation so the public may come and go at their convenience, and staff will be available to answer questions. Comments must be received on or before Friday, Jan.3. 2020, to be a part of the official record.

Description:

The proposed improvements include constructing a new 6-lane rural freeway with 2 to 3-lane frontage roads in each direction and ramps. There are two cross streets within the project limits. At Cleveland Gibbs Road/Dale Earnhardt Way, the main lanes will cross with an overpass and the Litsey Road/Briarwick Parkway interchange will be an underpass. The proposed project includes constructing six 12-foot wide main lanes and reconstructing four to six 12-foot wide frontage road lanes with 4-foot inside and 10-foot outside shoulder. The main lanes will be divided with a concrete barrier along the centerline. The existing right-of-way width along SH 114 varies from 420 to 500-feet in width and along Dale Earnhardt Way the width is 80-feet. Approximately 0.13 acres of right of way would be required to widen Dale Earnhardt Way. The project as proposed would not result in any displacement.

Special Accommodations:

TxDOT makes every reasonable effort to accommodate the needs of the public. The open house will be in English. If you have a special communication accommodation or need for an interpreter, a request can be made. If you have a disability and need assistance, special arrangements can also be made to accommodate most needs. Please call (214) 320-4480 at least two working days prior to the meeting. Please be aware that advance notice is requested as some accommodations may require time for TxDOT to arrange.

Memorandum of Understanding:

The environmental review, consultation, and other actions required by applicable federal environmental laws for this project are being, or have been, carried-out by TxDOT pursuant to 23 U.S.C. 327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated December 16, 2014, and executed by FHWA and TxDOT.
