Good Afternoon TC Friends!
The new school year is almost here and the Town is getting prepped and ready. Back to school means more sharing of the roads, with vehicles AND pedestrians. Staff have spent the last several weeks preparing for the influx of activity, schedules and traffic about to hit the TC pavement.
Various training is taking place by both TCPD and TCFD, who have been working hard to provide our first responders with the critical skill development and tactical experiences needed for real-life situational events that can happen on or off campus.
This includes our Crossing Guards, who are dedicated to providing safe bicycle and pedestrian routes to and from school, covering posts at all four schools. They’re polishing up their training, including essential procedures, health and welfare information, proper equipment and a refresher on resources available to help ensure our children’s safety.
The TC Community Pool is calling you during these final days…hours and availability will be shortened before its final closing after Labor Day Weekend. Don’t forget to attend the fabulous and fun Meet the Bobcats event showcasing our schools, students, local businesses and vendors. And, most importantly, I hope you enjoy both the end of summer and the beginning of the new school year the best way possible, along with a little patience, a little planning and a whole lot of heart! See you around town!
